Dr. John D. McGreevey III is a hospitalist, or physician that specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. In addition Dr. McGreevey is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Having joined the Section of Hospital Medicine in 2010, he currently practices at Hospital of University of Pennsylvania and Good Shepherd Penn Partners. Dr. McGreevey also serves as an Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for Penn Medicine and a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. McGreevey’s interests include clinical Informatics, clinical decision support, health system strategy, governance, and policy and perioperative medical evaluation and management.
Dr. McGreevey earned his medical degree from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was also a Clinical Fellow in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
